The BONGZAII Journey

Opening a physical shop in Bocas was an important step in the journey.
We wanted to create a place where people could experience the brand beyond a screen,
to see the colors, feel the materials, discover the stories behind the artwork and find products designed
for real days spent near the ocean.
The BONGZAII Beach Shop opened at Casa Monoloco in Bocas Town, Isla Colón, inside Monoloco Surf School.
It placed the brand directly within the lifestyle that inspired it.

More Than a Beach Shop

From the beginning, our goal was not to create a typical souvenir store. We wanted to offer original Panamanian designs that travelers would continue wearing and using long after leaving the islands.
Inside the shop, visitors can discover small-batch collections of boardshorts, rashguards, hats, beach and travel towels, ponchos, apparel, bags and accessories for the entire family.
Many BONGZAII products are made with recycled fabrics and designed to be lightweight, packable, fast-drying and easy to travel with. Every piece combines original artwork with practical details created for surfing, exploring and everyday island life.

How the Journey Has Been So Far

Since opening, the shop has allowed us to connect directly with people from Panama and around the world.
Every conversation with a surfer, traveler, family or local customer gives us valuable feedback. Seeing how people respond to the artwork, discover the functionality of the products and choose the designs that connect with them has helped BONGZAII continue evolving.
The shop has also become a space where the Ocean Tribe can meet, exchange stories and share a genuine connection with Bocas. Being close to the surf community and the energy of Casa Monoloco has made the experience feel personal, spontaneous and authentic.
Like the ocean, the journey is always changing. New collections arrive, designs rotate and the shop continues to grow while preserving what makes BONGZAII special: original art, small-batch production and a strong connection to Panama.
